  • Pros
This club had the best all around performance of the 5 fairway woods we tested for 2013. The profile, color, distance, the works
  • Cons
Its a bit pricier than some of the other fairway woods out there. But everybody has seen a RocketBallz-ier commercial right. Those are expensive.

This is the fairway wood that ended up being put in the bag at Real Golf Talk

Taylormade RBZ Stage 2 Fairway Wood Review

The Taylormade Rocketballz Stage 2 fairway wood shares so much of the same design and technology of the original Rocketballz line.  Taylormade claims that the stage 2 will get even more distance than the previous models though, and they were right!

The clubface is constructed out of a different metal than the original Rocketballz fairway woods which is more flexible.  The more flexible face helps create a higher ball speed which makes the ball go farther.

The famous speed pocket from Taylormade is back as well but there have been some changes.  The speed pocket along the sole is longer from heel to toe of the club.  The Stage 2 also has a lower profile and shallower clubface.  This allows you to get a higher launch angle off the club face.  All of these changes together will definitely get you more distance.

Stock out of the box the Taylormade Rocketballz Stage 2 fairway woods come with the RocketFuel 60 graphite shaft.  The 3-wood that we tested was a 15* loft.

We tested our Top 5 Fairway woods and the Taylormade Rocketballz Stage 2 was the winner in our opinions.

Get this club in your bag asap, then let Real Golf Talk know what you think in the comments section below.  Thanks.
