  • Pros
Some nice launch and carry on shots that hit virtually anywhere on the face. Very forgiving driver by Taylormade
  • Cons
Shafts are pretty limited if your into getting that a little more customized to you. Not really the club to try and work the ball if you into that.
  • Summary
If your looking for a forgiving club this is a great place to start your search. It just might end you search while its at it.

Taylormade JetSpeed Driver Review

The Taylormade JetSpeed has a slot in the sole that is designed to reduce spin and improve ball speed for impacts low on the face of the club.  It also sports a longer (46”)and lighter (50 grams)shaft than most of the Taylormade drivers.

The addition of TaylorMade’s Speed Pocket technology to its JetSpeed driver promotes lower-spinning, higher-launching shots. The Speed Pocket also dramatically improves performance on shots struck lower on the face, which is where most golfers tend to hit on mis-hits.

With the JetSpeed driver, TaylorMade continues the theme of a low, forward CG. With the more forward CG, many players will need to “loft-up” to optimize ball flight. While thinking of the average golfer Taylormade added some serious adjustability.  The JetSpeed driver has a 3-degree range of adjustability, up or down 1.5 degrees from the printed loft in 0.5-degree increments.

Keep in mind that this club is meant to be more forgiving than a driver like the Taylormade SLDR.

The JetSpeed is long and light (46” at 299-gram total weight), and the stock Matrix Velox T 49 shaft weighs just 50 grams. The driver’s head measures 460 cubic centimeters, and it is available in lofts of 8, 9.5, 10.5 and 12 degrees and retails for $299. The TP version includes a more robust Matrix Velox ST 60 shaft and sells for $399.
